I served as a judge for the Loft Literary Center's Winter 2015 Writing Contest, the Minnesota Book Awards (2008 and 2017), and the Minnesota State Finals of Poetry Out Loud, a national poetry recitation contest for high school students. I’ve also reviewed grant applications (organizational and individual) for the National Endowment for the Arts and the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC).
